   I worked with Bettina Elbæk Pedersen from 2000-2006 when she was the Design Manager of Louis Poulsen and again from 2008-2015 where she was a Design Consultant for the company a full day per week while also taking care of her new business.
Bettina has been an important business partner in my work to develop the Residential Business Area, from an insignificantly size into being the single most important business area in Louis Poulsen, accounting for more than half the turnover.
With a great ability to think “outside the box”, Bettina has contributed with valuable input in preparing the overall product strategy and ideas for defining new projects. Together we have developed new designs and re-launched more than 25 products in this period, with a very high success rate.
Bettina has great knowledge within design and trends and she has an invaluable skill to assess the new designers of the future.
Bettina is a great facilitator in the design process and the way she collaborates with the designers is very unique and pays off. Her approach is to look, to listen, and then add exactly that input that ensures that the design process is in motion and that we end up with a product that is valued by the designer, the company and the customer.    Bettina has lifted our product range to a whole new level design-wise and also sales-wise. She has taken on our ideas and optimized them without compromising our core values which are so important to us.
